Preparation tips for BSNL JE/TTA Exam!

    Dear Aspirants,

    Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) has released its notification for recruitment of 2700 Junior Engineer(JE)/ Telecom Technical Assistant(TTA) posts across India. A lot of students are preparing for this exam and trying to grab this opportunity. 

    BSNL JE/TTA is a 3 hour exam which consist of 200 questions of 1 mark each and is divided in 3 sections  

    • General Ability
    • Basic Engineering
    • Specialization

    Here are some important tips which will be helpful for your BSNL JE/TTA exam Preparation

    1. Don't forget the syllabus: Most of the aspirants start studying without looking at syllabus "Don't do that!" Preparing without knowing the syllabus is a big mistake which should be avoided. Start your prepartion by exploring the syllabus and then make a strategy for your preparation. 
      • You should know that the syllabus of BSNL JE exam is common for all aspirants, So you have to prepare all the three sections.
      • You will have a total of 180mins to attempt 200 questions.
      • There will be negative marking of 25% i.e. 0.25 for every incorrect answers.
      • Prepare all the subjects given in syllabus.
    2. Section wise preparation tips:
      1. General Ability:
        • This section consist of General Knowledge, English Language and current awareness
        • This section consist of only 20 question, So don't waste much time in preparing this section.
        • Some important topics to prepare for this section are synonyms, Antonyms, Comprehension and fill in the blanks.
      2. Basic Engineering:
        • This section consist of 90 questions which will test your Basic Engineering knowledge.
        • In this section questions will be mainly asked will be theoritical and formula based.
        • Study the basics do not invest too much time in practicing problems, Focus on Definitions, equations, examples, etc.
      3. Specialization:
        • This section test the core knowledge of the subjects.
        • There will be 90 question in this section and you have to prepare all the subjects given in syllabus.
        • All the questions are to test the basic knowledge of the subjects, so you don't have to go for deep understanding.

    4. Important Points:
      • Solve previous year question papers of last 5 years.
      • Practice Mocktests Regularly
      • Focus on Fundamentals and Basic Concepts not on Practicing too much problems.
      • Manage your time and do not waste by studying what is out of syllabus
